For DuPage County Board District 2

Guido Nardini is a small business owner and dedicated public servant on Elmhurst City Council. He has served on the Public Affairs and Safety Committee as well as the Development, Planning, and Zoning Committee.

His mother was a high school teacher and later college professor, and his father ran the family restaurant. Values of hard work, hospitality, and bringing people together is their legacy. After earning his B.A. from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and completing supporting coursework at Harvard University, Guido returned to the family business.

Guido and his brother are the owner-operators of Club Lago, Chicago’s iconic Italian restaurant. Like Grandpa Gus and father Francesco before him, Guido oversees every detail — from budgets, payroll, and menu composition to pouring the wine and serving the food.

In the family for more than 70 years, Club Lago is a small neighborhood joint — a place where people connect, celebrate and belong. It’s proud to keep long-term customers and long-term employees alike.

My priorities are clear: I will ensure District 2 receives the services we pay for, while preparing for the future with climate resilience and housing affordability. From my city council experience, I know that new challenges will always arise and I’m committed to staying nimble, informed, and ready to make the right call for DuPage County.

Government isn’t broken; it simply needs people willing to listen, take the slings and arrows, and do the work. Government is service—and service is American.

On City Council, Alderman Nardini delivers results that matter.

Keeping Our Community Safe: Secures funding for rectangular rapid-flashing beacons, enhanced signage along York Road in his 6th Ward—addressing a long-standing unresolved public safety issue, making it safer for children walking to Bryan Middle School and Visitation Church.

Connecting Neighbors to City Hall: Believes every resident should have a voice in their local government. Whether explaining how to speak at a committee meeting or encouraging written submissions to secure issues’ placement on the agenda, Alderman Nardini makes sure neighbors are heard!

Doing the Homework: State Representative and former Alderman Marti Deuter calls it “digging in.” From seeking a third party assessment of Elmhurst’s new police station proposal on his own, to passing local limits on marketing Delta-8 & 9 THC products to minors, Alderman Nardini comes to every discussion as one of the most prepared voices in the room.
